Chinny Ukata (she/her) identifies as British-Nigerian. She was born in the UK. Whilst enjoying history at school, a lot of the content taught only scratched the surface when it came to black history. Her discontent with why she was only just continuing to ‘discover’ Britain’s involvement in Biafra and other foreign policy issues in Africa led her to creating It’s a Continent podcast with her co-host and friend, Astrid. Chinny is also currently co-writing "It’s a Continent: Unravelling Africa’s history one country at a time", a book due to be published in summer 2022.
