Astrid Madimba (she/her) was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and grew up in the UK. However, she has struggled to connect to her heritage, having lived in the UK most of her life. Astrid's search for a greater connection to her heritage led to the formation of It's a Continent, a podcast that seeks to support others in their search for a better understanding of African history. Astrid is also currently co-writing It's a Continent: Unravelling Africa's history one country at a time, a book due to be published in the summer of 2022.
